Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her ability to sprint while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. Felix signed a contract for a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. The first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, at Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for running 200m in 22.18 secs. She was the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently in the top three of athletes in each of her events.
