Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter, who was born on July 23rd, 1970 was an American actress. She was Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also starred in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas and Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell and Lacy in The Lying Game (2012–2013 strong>).
Carpenter was the daughter of Christine Carpenter (a bird sanctuary worker, as well as Don Carpenter (a salesman), and was born in Las Vegas. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was one of the students at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. In the water in San Diego in 1991, she and two male acquaintances were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them using a gun. Her friends as well as Hubbard were killed during the struggle. Hubbard fled the scene as her fellow comrades were able to escape. Hubbard was arrested and was convicted, then sentenced to 55 years of prison for a series of rapes. Carpenter used Hubbard's flashlight from the beach, which he left at the scene, and the flashlight became an important piece of evidence used against him.
Carpenter was named No. 31 on the AskMen's Top 99 Most Wanted Women 2002[30] and No. 44 on their list for 2005. [31][32] Despite this, Carpenter has stated she is not an sex icon. Carpenter was featured on the cover and in an unisexual photo spread over ten pages of the issue in June of 2004 from Playboy magazine. People magazine asked Carpenter in 2005 if she'd ever pose for Playboy. She replied "I do not know." Playboy was a choice that I made with a specific reason. It wasn't just a good financial move, but it was about the place I was at on my journey. I had just had my son and had gained 50 pounds in the course of pregnancy. I was looking to return to my former self. I wanted to feel attractive and attractive. I thought, "What if I went all out?"
